RICARDO ISAAC CANDELARIA (Percussion) was born in Brooklyn and raised in Puerto Rico. He has performed, toured and recorded with such artists as Jonathan Butler, Phyllis Hyman, Freddie Jackson, Alex Bugnon, Roland Vasquez, Thuli Dumakude, Daniel Santos, Pleneros de la 21, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, and Ismael Rivera, Jr. He accompanied the theatrical Afro-Cuban production of Ochun Obayeye and served as Latin music consultant, singer and percussionist in "Tropical", an Off-Broadway Latin music review. His collaborations with other artists include performances with choreographer Marian Soto, artist Pepon Osorio, and politician, activist and poet Felipe Luciano. In Eddie Reyes, he met his kindred musical spirit. Playing percussion with Eddie’s group "Dry Rain" in New York provided him with the opportunity to showcase his rhythmic vision and musical philosophy and led to his collaboration with Eddie on Lost World.

AARON SERFATY (Drums) has been playing professionally for 20 years. From 1980–1990 he was the first call session drummer in his native country of Venezuela. He moved to Los Angeles in 1991 to study jazz, African and Indian music at California Institute of the Arts. He co-founded the Cal Arts Latin Jazz Ensemble with David Roitstein and co-wrote the Afro-Brazilian/Afro-Cuban Rhythm for Drumset curriculum currently being used at the Los Angeles Music Academy, where he is a member of the faculty. Aaron has performed, recorded and toured with Jon Anderson and Sergio Mendes, and Cuban trumpet player Arturo Sandoval. He is an adjunct assistant professor of jazz studies at the USC Thornton School of Music.

RENE CAMACHO (Bass) earned his Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies and Composition from the University of Arizona in 1992. He has lived in Los Angeles since 1997 and has earned a reputation in LA as a talented bassist and a versatile musician not only in Latin music but in all jazz and pop styles. He has many production and arranging credits, and has played numerous musical theater and television performances in Los Angeles. He has worked with Celia Cruz, Dizzy Gillespie, the Pointer Sisters, Marylin McCoo, Poncho Sanchez, Luis Conte, Buddy Collette, Francisco Aguabella, Bobby Matos, Susie Hansen Band, Conte Condoli, Bob Mintzer, Jose Rizo's Jazz on the Latin Side All-Stars, Warren Vache, Lew Tabacken and Billy Davis, Jr. and the Tucson Symphony.
